While I feel the video was well done, kudos on the visuals, I don't agree with this being implemented at this time. I could see something like this being a good addition AFTER that ratings actual matter more and we first get them to show all the offensive/defensive player personnel names when bringing up coach cam.

So again, I think the idea is good but low on the priority list.

Re: Madden 14 NEW Man and Zone Coverage Concept

I don't mind the distinguishing colors for man skills, but I don't like the larger graphical representation for zone coverages. Zone coverage is not an area coverage like in basketball, it tells the defense how to match specific route combinations. I feel like the idea of using the diffent circles in terms of area means that the defender can effectively cover a larger zone. Maybe this is true of individual to individual, but the main problem, imo, with zone coverage in the game is the fact that the defenders drop to spots, regardless of teh route distribution.

I'll support anything that'll get the experience deeper. Something like that will help the sim and casual person understand their personnel (and their abilities) on the field.

I don't think it's necessary right now but not bad thinking at all. I just hope stopping the run gets a little more easier lol. I think I played every madden there was but in M12 run defense is quite a challenge... sorry to get off topic this is just imo

Re: Madden 14 NEW Man and Zone Coverage Concept

I agree that this is an extremely good idea and I think will enhance a player's ability to create a balanced coverage scheme. It is sometimes hard to tell how well and what area that a linebacker will cover in that purple zone you put him in. With this idea a player would be able to see immediate feedback (without the need of trial and error and numerous games played) in order to decide if there will be sufficient coverage on a certain area.

Would also give us a better idea on how to user control our players. It can be hard to determine that specific point where another linebacker will take over his zone and where your coverage responsibilities stop. This can lead to you overextending into someone's zone, leading to your zone having a hole in it, or u leaving a hole in between yours and another player's zone.

Hopefully we can see something like this implemented when ratings like man / zone / play recognition / awareness become more of a keystone on how a defensive player reacts and plays.
