Don't forget about the new pre-snap adjustments in NCAA 13

Defensive Base Alignment

Up on the d-pad, then right on the d-pad to activate. Basically hides your defensive coverage. It also allows your defenders to play split coverage. Which means DBs will play inside and outside routes on WRs.

There is also a new trail technique by Corner Backs when you run a 2 man under play. The defender will now trail to the inside of the WR and the Safety will cover the area between the sideline and the WR.

How well or bad they do it how ever depends on the man coverage rating of the CB and the zone coverage rating of the safety.

New Hot Routes

For the RB:

Block & Release - Down on the right stick

Wheel route - Up on the right stick

Flat out - Left or right on the right stick

For the WR:

Slant outs has been replaced by the zig route.

Fade Route will only occur within a certain distance from the goal line now. So no more hot routing fade routes from the 40 yard line. It has been replaced by an outside streak route.

I swear I'm not an idiot, but how do you activate this? I push up on the D pad and then right and absolutely nothing happens. What am I missing?

I thought I remembered this being in this year, but I have no idea where it is.

Doesn't this just change their pre snap positions?
