Why no video highlights from around the league?

The Rece Davis in-game recap is a nice touch, but help me understand why they can't generate video highlights to go with it. Has this feature made it into any sports game yet? Is it that difficult to randomly generate 1 highlight that matches up with the stats that have also been generated?

or like madden 97 where they would take you straight to the last seconds of a game to watch it as it happened. Usually just a last second fieldgoal or 4th down play. And that was 15years ago...

I believe one of the Madden's on a previous gen had highlights from other games. Like you I would love to see this in NCAA and Madden again.

man i remember that. it was so awesome to see that. seeing as i was 5 at the time in 97 it was really cool to me since i've always loved sports but yes i would love to see that in NCAA/Madden. i keep seeing fans holding signs in NCAA saying "Sportscenter is next..." i'm just like oh i wish it was =/ nevertheless i'm very happy with the updates. makes my Dynasty come alive.

I dont think the current hardware has that much RAM to do something like that.

Yeah instead of improving little things like that they just remove them and forget about them. Also in 97 having real video footage used of madden and summerall before your game was great and chris brown real video in the studio was great. I saw a pic of madden 2013 and they use crappy animation of phil simms and jim nantz.. which looked awful by the way.

Yes.

Think about how long it takes the game to load, then imagine that during the studio update.

It would take the same amount of time to load 1 highlight (heck, give me a 3 yard TD run) as it would take to load the entire game? Hmmmm ok.
