Do rosters matter this year?

Will rosters really matter this year? Being that we can't import draft classes, I'm not sure I really need rosters. Anyone else feel this way? I think I can play my dynasty without having to have every player named. I guess the only thing that might bother me is seeing names mixed with numbers.

I used to name rosters because of importing draft classes. Now, it won't matter, so I'm just wondering if we are all creatures of habit looking for rosters because it is "what we've always done."

If you're one of those types that only play NCAA for a month before Madden then sure it might not matter. For those of us who play NCAA year-round names are a pretty big deal. How would you feel if Peyton Manning was "QB #18" in Madden?

I don't get rid of NCAA after Madden comes out. I just always used them together. Now, NCAA rosters can't be imported for draft classes and it doesn't effect my dynasty in any way, I just was wondering if anyone else had the same thought.

Re: Do rosters matter this year?

thread already exactly like this but yes, I cannot have a dynasty without the names. I can't be in my USC dynasty with QB #7 or a randomly generated name when I clearly know its Barkley. Also, it helps with studio updates seeing names. Same thing with generated names, studio updates would bug me when I clearly know who the players are.

I definitely wouldn't play with generated names. Likely just go with numbers - if I decided I could go without rosters.

I had no idea that we can't import draft classes into Madden this year. That's a major blow to my Madden fun.

I will be using named rosters. I couldn't even get through one exhibition before I made a named roster for ND. It just bugs me because I love the college atmosphere and following these kids from their recruitment to their graduation makes every game more meaningful.
