I don't get the logic

I don't get the trade logic in this game sometimes (well most of the time really).. I am playing a RTTS player.. I am in my 3rd season overall and first year starting for the Giants. In the last week of July we are trading 1st place back and forth with Ari. I am currently leading in HR's RBI's and would be leading in Avg if not for a 15 day injury in the first month.. That being said imagine my surprise when I find out I have been traded?? What team would trade the league leader in the triple crown right before the deadline... I don't mind the trade per se but no team in their right minds (especially is contending) is going to make this trade... This is something that should be fixed IMHO..

Maybe you're outperforming your ratings. And the CPU thinks now is a good time to trade you because your perceived value is worth more than what he/she thinks is your actual value. And the Giants always win with pitching. Maybe there's a prospect behind you with similiar overall value?

Even if both of your scenarios were true they would wait until after the season, not during a pennant race. The trade logic in this game is TERRIBLE.

Trade logic is truly the Achilles heel of this series. I just got done playing through my Rangers season which saw Alex Rodriguez being traded to the Indians for prospects (then retiring) and Jeter and Rivera going to the Mets for God knows what reason (both retiring). Stuff like that happens all the time in game; there has to be a way to fix some of this.

Yea that is the only way to fix this. To be honest I play with 30 team control and turn the cpu profile to manual trading for all about July usually to eliminate checking trades that are ridiculous every day, but still give the cpu a chance to make moves it needs to if they are reasonable. Otherwise I just cancel the trade.
