Roster maker newbie

Hello:

I have seen some great rosters from other posters and I want to do one myself. I'm a big fan of the deadball era of baseball and I was going to create the 1908 Tigers (25 man roster).

However, I don't know the first thing about making the roster itself. Do I just download the players I need from the player vault and then just edit a roster?

Any help on creating a roster would be appreciated and I did not see any previous threads on how to create a roster.
