Trade for CJ Spiller

I've been done with M12 for awhile now, but looking ahead to 13, I've decided to trade for CJ Spiller in my Colts franchise/Pagano CC. I probably want to include Donald Brown or Delone Carter in the deal. Brown and Spiller have similar play styles, and should both be in the same OVR range, 77-80. Keeping in mind that I use realistic sliders and should be picking top 10, what would be a fair trade? Maybe Brown and a 2013 4th rounder for Spiller? Leave some ideas please!

As you said, Brown and Spiller should both be between 75-80 overall. I'd do Brown, another player in the high 70's or low 80's, and a second rounder for Spiller and since you'll be the Colts, a wide receiver.

I agree with the above. Brown has never proven anything on the field really, Spiller stepped up when Jackson went down. I'd offer Brown + a solid 3-4 defender + a 3rd/4th.

You are probably going to have to wait to see how the trade logic is this year. I think I read somewhere that it has changed. This seems like a fair trade to me on madden Spiller is a way more versatile player than Brown. That being said if the trade logic is upgraded at all it shouldnt let it go through

Why shouldn't it go through? That's a fair trade.

Brown actually had a good year. 4.8 ypc and 550 some yards. He didn't start at first, that's why he had so few carries. But yeah, that sounds fair.

Actually Buffalo is going back to a 4-3 defense with Mario Williams and Mark Anderson as the d-ends. Since the overalls will differ depending on scheme, the OP would be more inclined to give up a 4-3 player because that 4-3 player will have a more favorable overall with the Bills. So, if I wanted Spiller and I controlled the Colts, I would offer Spiller, a mid round draft pick, and a solid 4-3 defender (maybe a linebacker?).

Actually now that I think about it, isn't Indy going to a 3-4 dominant scheme? If they are, this would work out very well for the OP as he gets to keep his 3-4 players and ship off some 4-3 preferred players in exchange for Spiller. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Brown, 4th Rounder, and a defender sound fair. Then again, I've never been one to think trades over to make sure I'm not getting a steal. My rule has and always will be:

I find an offer I like. If they accept, I cannot go back and try to get something better, or offer less. (:
