How do you play Franchise Mode?

I'm trying to find a fair play/sim ratio (if that makes sense) to employ on franchise mode. I've seen some that play 2 out of 3 games a series and others that play one then sim the next 4-5 games. Playing 162 games seems pretty taxing, so I'm just curious as to what everyone else here does.

I sim the first 81, then play the rest.
