I am going to list my Projected top 5 OVR players at each position, and then I want to get your take and see if we can adjust this list to be as close to the actual rosters as possible. Still feel there is zero difference between keys say a 92 and a 99... Ratings have effects sure, but traits and abilities desperately need to be incorporated to actually make players feel very different. As of now a 79WR feels and is just as effective as the 90+.

There is no really separation currently. MJD feels just like AP who feels just like Foster who feels just like ..... (insert RB)

The only really sufferance is with guys hike CJ and Jamal Charles who ate just really fast ....

Same with every other position.

Sure, the elite QBs stand out some, but I can still light it up with McCoy and make all the same throws as the elites.

No identity. This is another area where I feel EA needs to really re do completely.

I agree. In last years Madden, I was absolutely thumping the Panthers, even with Cam Newton running all over me. He gets injured and Jimmy Clausen came in, threw like Tom Brady the entire second half and beat me. Really ridiculous.

I don't really agree with Gates being that high. I think his better days are definitely behind him. I also don't like Adrian Peterson that high either. He is coming off of a serious injury and most likely won't be himself for at least the first part of the year if not all of the year. You left Peyton Manning off of the QB list, I'm assuming because of his injuries, so I'd like to see the same for AD. Also, like the previous poster said, how can you leave off Andre Johnson? He is definitely the 2nd or 3rd best WR in the league. I'd remove Roddy White and replace him with AJ. Overall your list is pretty good tho. Here's my list of the best player at each position:
