MLB 2k12 PC Keyboard Problems!!

I just got the game for the PC and am waiting for a gamepad (are Logitech good?). It says in many screens to hit the "Spc" button. I'm assuming thats just clicking in a general area? That usually works. But when I try to participate in a drill or 'my player'... I can't advance the screen. I try clicking everywhere, hitting enter, etc. Nothing works!

For example, I'm trying to start my first game as a SP. It says to hit 'Spc' to continue. So I'm basically stuck at the screen until i figure it out/ get a gamepad.

What am I missing here?

Looks like it's the space bar, but weird if it isn't.

New Problem:

I saved a my player game to come back later. I did but before i can enter game it says to reconnect controller 2. I have no idea what it's talking about. Nothing is unplugged. There is one keyboard and one mouse. One player.

What's the problem?
