Shoot in traffic

I saw a previous thread that says shoot in traffic affects jumpshooting. In 500+ online ranked games...and playing the cpu in franchise mode. I have come to the conclusion that shoot in traffic rating only affects the ability to make lay-ups or inside shots in traffic. I took players with high SIT and took contested jumpers all game only to see them miss terribly all game.

Well the keyword is traffic.

When I think of shooting in traffic, I just think of it as shooting a shot in the middle of a small group with people who may not even be paying attention to me.

When I think of a contested shot, this is where one (or more) defender is focused on me and putting his hands up or going for a block.

With that said, I would not view a shot in "traffic" as the same scenario as a "contested" shot, but I could be wrong.
