I play both. I still play 2K11 Aloncho's 92' season mod, as well as the 94-95 season mod. Of course I play 2K12, my Magics/Mavs association, along with the FIBA mod. So both Ganges offer continuous gameplay, the only problem I have is figuring out which one to want to play. Then with 2K13 coming in the near future, rotating those three will be difficult.
I can say this, since converting to PC for 2K, I have spent less money on videogames, because I don't find a need for them, i'm satisfied with these to games, with all the different mods.
