Help pick my M13 CC team

Hey all,

It seems to be that time of year again. NFL news has slowed down and I find myself once again with nothing better do then plan out my upcoming franchise. For the better part of a decade I have played as the Chicago Bears, but I feel it's time to move on from them and use a new team.

If anyone has any ideas based off my criterea, big thanks! The criterea is as follows, the first being the most important and everything that follows is not a deal breaker.

1. Team must not have a franchise (or franchise paid) QB. - I like bringing in a rookie or lower rated QB to ultimately make my own franchise QB. I plan trading for Nick Foles this year. If Vick didn't have such a hefty contract, just playing as the Eagles would seem logical based on my other criterea.

2. Would like a team with a highly rated player with very little to no guaranteed money left on his contract. - I like to trade these players for a 1st or 2nd round draft pick to fill future team needs. Last year I traded Forte for a 1st and 2nd round pick and ended up signing Noel Devine to be my franchise RB. Those aformentioned draft picks became a starting LT and Urlachers replacement.

3. Really like playing as a team with an alternate jersey(s) - Just adds to the pageantry of playing a primetime game.

4. Big plus for teams that play in an outdoor stadium. -I grew up in a cold weather market and love outdoor cold weather games.

5. Decent amount of caproom is also a plus. -After hopefully trading for a few draft picks, it costs money to sign the upper echelon draft picks. Also fine if much of my caproom is tied up on a few players in contract years. I can always choose to not resign if the cap hit is too big.

Well, that is about it.

I have very similar criteria and I am going with the Buccaneers this year.

Not matching all the criteria...but definately a team you can build:

Raiders

Also, if you are looking for a good team without a franchise QB and desperate need of one. The 49ers will be that team...though they might be too good for someone who wants to build a low ranked team into a powerhouse.

If you are looking for a good team without a franchise QB try the Chiefs. They have talent at every position, but will probably need a QB before they can truely contend for a title.

Re: Help pick my M13 CC team

How about the Jags? You could trade MJD, who only has about $9M in money over the next two years. They're going to be rocking black alternate jerseys again this year. Outdoor stadium and plenty of cap space. Dynamic rookie WR in Blackmon.

Or the Seahawks. New redesigned Nike jerseys, outdoor stadium. Not sure about the cap space, but you could always trade Lynch or Sidney Rice. Forget Foles and just roll with Russell Wilson.

Or the Bills. Trade Mario, cut Fitzpatrick, utilize Spiller, Stevie, and Freddy Jack.

Re: Help pick my M13 CC team

Edit - NVM, misread the first post and thought you said must HAVE a franchise QB

how about the Chargers?

1. Franchise QB = Rivers
2. You can deal Shaun Phillips and re-build the D, also have Jammer, Spikes and maybe even Gates.
3. Powder Blues...need I say more?
4. Outdoor stadium, not cold weather though
5. Not sure on the cap space and if Madden contracts are correct.
