New to PS3 - how do I get game updates?
I am new to PS3, how do I get updates/patches installed? Does it happen automatically after connecting to PS live?

No when you first start a game it will come up and download before you play the game.

Yup - and any patches that are released as the months go on will be "automatically" installed.....you'll pop in the game and will be prompted that new software (or whatever they call it) is available. No need to search and download it on your own.

Also another thing is that after the patch is done downloading they have to install so they will not be finished right after downloading.
