Does the EYE Skill Point help with hitting ...

Or does it just affect how often the batters eye shows up on pitches?

If you play with batters eye off should you not waste SP on eye?

It just affects how often the batters eye shows up on pitches.

If you use the batters eye circle; it also affects how large that circle is.

(I personally dont use the batters eye circle. But I do use the batters eye.)

So to answer your question if you have both the Batter's Eye, and the Batter's Eye Circle turned off... using SP's for it would be a waste.

It does not affect your "hitting" in the sense you mean. Only your Contact and Power ratings do.

Re: Does the EYE Skill Point help with hitting ...

Sorry to bump an old thread... but recently just for a change I've turned batter's eye on in 2k12.

I haven't used it since 2k9 (i think!) so I need a quick refresher. I'm on PC - do I just place the cursor where I think the ball will go? Or do I have to press another button to lock it in (I'm using classic hitting as well). There is no indication of any such control in the settings... so how exactly does it work?

It's random.

I wish I knew the answer to this myself!

The only reason I dont like using the batters cursor is I hate holding it in place with left joystick while trying to swing with the right joystick. (I play on the 360)

If there is a way to "lock" the cursor in place where you're guessing before the pitch that would be AWESOME!

Anyone? Anyone know how?

EDIT:

According to a guy in this thread from 2K sports forums you're supposed to hit "B" on the Xbox 360 to lock the cursor in place. Not sure what the equivelent on the PC is. But I assume its that button. And you must do it before the pitch.
