Why is there constantly such low batting averages in Franchise?

There always seems to be low batting averages across the board in my franchises. It is extremely rare for players to bat above .300, even the elite ones.

Robinson Cano, Albert Pujols, Adrian Gonzalez all batted around .280, which seems extremely low for them.

Non elite players are all around the .230-.250 range.

Anyone else having this problem? I dont know if it is fixable or not.

I'm at the end of august, played every game. So I will check to see what the batting avg are for my franchise. But I know Josh Hamilton is batting around .335.

Cano is hitting .284 this year, Pujols is hitting .235 (and hit .299 last year), and Gonzalez is hitting just .269 this year (and has hit over .300 just twice in his career). I'm on May 12th in my franchise, and there are 58 guys in the league with averages over .300. In real life right now, there's 28.

Ya, the averages are kind of weird for me too. Although I do have one player batting over .500
