Is there any truth to this? They're saying over at 2K forums the patch has been cancelled. (which might not be a surprise considering the series is rumored to be dead after this license)

I was hoping to at least have a patch!! Im going to be pretty sore if this is true....

Can't believe that this is true. Why should they first make big announcements of an upcoming patch and after that cancel it silently? Everyone in the gamers scene would know it after some time and this bad reputation would fall back on everyone involved...

Bad reputations don't really matter if there isn't a game anymore.

interesting.. someone from 2K deleted the thread over there..

Also, College Hoops sort of dissapeared quietly into the night.. why not a patch?

We all know that there is isnt likely to be an MLB 2K13.. so as totally let down as I am... this woudlnt surprise me if its true.

If there isn't going to be a 2K13, that means the people working on the game are either moved to other projects or laid off. There would be nobody available to make the patch.

I think they will still release a patch. Everyone quit working on 2K12, that would mean no more rosters and I really doubt that will happen.

The programming team wouldnt be the ones to make that kind of decision.
