Getting Blown Out On Pro? Need Advice!

Hello everyone, Im a pretty bad player when it comes to this game. I dont know why but I always seem to get blown out on Pro. I do pretty well in My Player on the same difficulty, but when I play now I get blown out. My players never make 3 pointers, I turn it over alot, and I can hardly ever rebound on pro. I feel that if I move to rookie, it will be way to easy for me. Any Suggestions?

Try adjusting sliders.

There's no shame in switching to Rookie if that's what you need to enjoy the game. These are video games and are supposed to be for leisure, not for pride.

Dont feel bad, Im horrible at this game 2. Im gonna try the legend mode thing first. My biggest problem is 1. Dont know basketball very well more of a football/madden player 2. I did the training and for me there is way to much stuff to remember, I start heading towards the basket and I draw a blank on the 50 some moves to do and how to pull them off.

2k13 is very user unfriendly in that case. I think 2k has the understanding that most people buying this game... also bought 2k12, and 2k11, and 2k10 and so on... (I have since 2k4) so most know the engine, and the basic to semi-basic controls. So they add in a few more things to add to our library. Yet, someone who is relatively new to the 2k series... has to memorize everything. Either leading to boring play... or just extremely poor play. The only thing you can do is practice.

that game is just very complex!
i had to start at 0 when i got nba2k12. im an avid sports gamer and fan but when it comes to basketball i just played the 2k10 version few times at a friends place. cos of that i knew which keys are for passing and shooting at least. and actually i never watched a full game before so obviously i didnt know much abt basketball. not even the names of the positions, had no idea that there are plays niether what a hesitation or sizeup is.
so i had to start at the very basics, with reading wikipedia abt basketball rules lol. then i started watching some actual nba games to understand the sport better as well as youtube tutorials (daczar). also i spend a lot of time on the forum here reading and learning the theory abt different aspects of the game and the sport itself. i cant even count anymore how many times i completed the trainingscamp mode..
right now im at that point that im can consistantly beat the cpu on professional (with balanced sliders). still my style of playing for sure looks weird a lot of times. but i gotta say i love the depth that this game has, you never stop digging into it, but for sure in my case it will take more than one year to really get most of it. maybe one year from now when im playing nba 2k13 ill be able to say that i master the game to a certain extent.

My player is unrealistic, you could be a beast on MP, it doesn't translate to play now. Just run the basic plays like pick and rolls and isolations and post ups. Once you learn how to finish, it will be easy going.
