The Incredible "NONE" Pitch

Was playing my RTTS just now, and Joe Martinez of the Reno Aces just threw back-to-back 50 MPH pitches against me. The game told me these pitches were his 4th pitch.. but he only has 3.. They showed up pink on the screen after I checked what the hell was being thrown at me. I paused the game and whipped out my phone to try and take a video for you guys, but pausing the game apparently knocked some sense back into it, and he didn't throw the pitch again.

It was really strange. He had confidence in the pitch that didn't exist and that was why he was throwing it I guess. After I paused it, the confidence was gone and he could no longer throw it. Anyone ever see this before?

It happened to me! I think I swung when the ball was about 30 feet out. Then, I tried to throw my "none" pitch with Pedro Strop. I wasn't allowed.

Re: The Incredible "NONE" Pitch

I think a few users have posted about the mystery eephus pitch. all cases were in MiLB against pitchers with only 3 pitches. Not sure what causes the bug, but it does throw everyone off lol

Re: The Incredible "NONE" Pitch

I just had it happen in the majors, but the guy that did it may have been randomly generated as I'm in 2018. Made me look stupid as I assumed it was going to be a 75 mph curveball down the middle, got ready to blast it and swung at it before it got three quarters of the way to the plate.

Third or fourth time I've seen it so far.

Re: The Incredible "NONE" Pitch

This was the first time it's happened to me in any year. But yeah it's basically a eephus pitch, breaks about 8-10 inches straight down like a 12-6.

Also I have not downloaded the patch yet, I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Glad it's not just me, it was pretty funny when it happened!
