Rebuilding the Twin Towers?

Hey guys, I run multiple Associations at a time, but one of my most successful Associations has been with the Spurs. Kind of along the story of "Can they get one more ring before they're forced to rebuild?"

I think the easiest way to ensure that I get a ring is to take it back to the day where the Twin Towers were dominating all of the Western Conference.

Does anybody have any suggestions for the replacement of David Robinson? I picked up Glen 'Big Baby' Davis and I love the way he's been playing alongside Duncan. Still young he's got a future, and possibly can be the future bigman when Duncan decides to call it quits.

Do you have any realistic suggestions? Obviously I won't be able to pick up Dirk or Dwight or even Bynum.. so I'd like to be able to keep it semi-realistic with guys like Big Baby.

Get Semih Erden, 7"0 and he can make outside shots and he's easy to play with, same age as Davis and much cheaper.

I'll definitely have to try that out, man. Thanks.

I'm also playing around with Ibaka/Duncan. It's working excellently, though Ibaka doesn't have the height I'd love to see. (Although that doesn't effect anything, as he's still blocking all sorts of shots.)

Kenneth Faried, JaVale Mcgee.
Give up Big Baby and build your future around these two.
Sure McGee is labeled "Bone Head" in real life but on this game he can easily fill the stat sheet.
Faried will be your PF, he is a good defender, and rebounder. The only thing you need to develope him in is his offense.

Just tank/trade for a couple of high picks and draft Drummond and Davis for when Duncan retires.

Re: Rebuilding the Twin Towers?

I second McGee. Also agree that you should dump Big Baby immediately. He's not even really a big man. He's more like a fat, un-athletic small forward. He's definitely no tower.

I know Duncan plays mostly Center these days, but you said you are trying to replace D.Robinson so I would have to suggest Roy Hibbert. He's a seven footer than can hit a mid range shot and has a reasonable post-up game/hook shot. He's young and he can play a little defense. Plus, he's from Georgetown and that makes him awesome. Gives him that Patrick Ewing pedigree...

If you are trying to really make it like it was in the late 90s, you gotta have a dominant young big man 6"10 or taller. The thing about those Twin Tower Spurs teams was that Duncan (having stayed for his senior year at Wake Forest) was EXTREMELY well-developed. I would say you need to focus on getting a giant who's an established offensive threat. Maybe Greg Oden? LeMarcus Aldridge might be too big a superstar for your tastes, but I'd be looking for someone in that mold...maybe a little more physical.

The thing about the Admiral was that he was such a hybrid. So athletic for a strong post-style big man.

Re: Rebuilding the Twin Towers?

I think the idea of Twin Towers is to have the Center and a Power Forward that is capable of playing Center.

I think the best possible 'Twin Tower' combination in the league right now would be LaMarcus Aldridge and Dwight Howard.

Since Duncan is one of your towers, you'll sort of want a young athletic big to complement him, and I guess you wanted someone with some franchise potential.

Some guys that come to mind (may be difficult to acquire)

Roy Hibbert, DeAndre Jordan, Enes Kanter, Al Horford, Derrick Favors

I'd personally go Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter.
