HDTV Lag

This has more then likely been brought up before but I haven't seen it so if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

I just bought a Samsung 55 inch LED Smart TV, I connect the ps3 to a Sony STR-DH820 receiver with an HDMI cable and then an HDMI cable connects the receiver to the TV.

I am having a considerable amount of lag while playing the game, I have not tried hitting yet but only have used my RTTS pitcher and I use meter pitching and I cant get anywhere close.

Did you try to bypass the receiver and connect the PS3 straight to the TV?

Thanks and yeah I tried bypassing the receiver.

you have to turn off the dmc option to off. also game mode to on.
