The WAC is done

it's a must that EA let you dissolve conferences in NCAA 2013, failure to do so is a failure

That would be a great addition - being able to completely delete/dissolve a conf. Don't think it'll happen though.

We'll know for next Monday.

Re: The WAC is done

It would certainly be nice but their schedule generator already struggled last year with custom conferences. I think allowing the complete removal of a conference would introduce too many possible scenarios and cause issues.

That said, I never thought they would give us teh flexibility of adding/removing teams from conferences in the first place so maybe they prove me wrong again.

Re: The WAC is done

There's no way this would be possible. As was stated earlier, the scheduling generator would have a freak-out of epic proportions. It's the reason they let you swap teams between conferences, but not change the number of teams in each conference. They have to keep the basic landscape of college football the same. There's just too many variables for the computer to handle once you start changing the number of teams in conferences, or eliminating conferences all together.

I mean, what if someone made two, 62-team, conferences? How would that conference schedule work?

Not sure what you mean. We were able to change the number of teams in a conference. You could have anywhere between 16 team conferences and 4 team conferences.

I actually didn't know that. I only rented NCAA 12 for a few days and never actually used the feature. I knew you could swap teams, but I didn't think you could change the number of teams in a conference. I still don't think they'll allow you to drop conferences all together due to non-conference scheduling and bowl affiliations, but if they have something that can handle changing the number of teams in a conference, maybe it can handle dissolving conferences.

BTW, thanks for the correction. Being wrong about something is bad enough, being wrong but thinking you're right is worse. lol

Haha. No worries. Actually there were some scheduling issues with having conferences below 7 teams. They have some things to work out for sure. I hope, as I stated earlier in the thread, that at the very least if we can't dissolve conferences, we can at least rename them.
