Runners retreating, bases loaded with full count?

Has any one else had this happen? I have the bases juiced, with a 3-2 count, I start the runners before the pitch, put the ball in play through the infield and the runners immediately start running BACK! It's happened twice so far playing and I'm wondering if its just me or anyone experienced this?

I haven't had this happen with the bases loaded, but I have had it happen with a runner on first. It's happened with a ground ball and on a single hit to the outfield. For some reason the runner on first starts to go to second, then retreats back to first only to get a force out at second. Extremely annoying.

Did it happen with two outs? That's when it happened to me and it's weird that they would run back when all baserunners should be taking off on contact with 2 outs. It's as if the AI confuses a grounder for a caught ball or if it doesn't realize the # of outs.

Re: Runners retreating, bases loaded with full count?

I can't recall if I've had it happen with bases loaded......but I'm for sure I've had a situation as described a couple posts above with two outs.

It's frustrating for sure when you notice it. For instance - Having a guy at second, with two outs.....Getting a hit, thinking you scored a run and then noticing for some inexplicable reason the runner at second is waiting to make sure the ball is not caught.

Honestly, Base-running (this issue and a couple of other small things) would probably be my biggest gripe with the game. But at the end of the day, in the installments I've really enjoyed, everything else is so great, I just accept the fact I'll lose some outs and a few runs during the course of the year, because of some base-running quirk.

I had it happen on a hit and run.
