Does anyone know what these scores directly influence? How important is quality teaching for minor league managers? Will players progress faster with better coaches?

Motivation I think, is how fast a player recovers from being fatigued. Maybe.
But teaching is a factor at the end of a season with player progression.

Motivation might have something to do with how an older player might decide to retire or not

After spending 3 hours doing research with the Braves, I've concluded basically nothing. Except the most important factor in progression is how awesome you are supposed to be, followed closely by how good the on the field performance is.

I simmed 2012 3 times for each coach set. I graded their season and then after the season checked the progression. The number listed by the coaches name is their teaching number.

I'll likely do the last sets with mayrton and the bad coaches and pinger and the bad coaches in the next few days.



I do think that having bad pitching/hitting coaches will make you sim worse. All 3 of the worst Braves records happened with those coaches. The best records were under Mayrton and Pinger. With a few division titles and 1 appearence in the NLCS under Pinger.
