Closer Appearances in RttS

I just made a closer in RttS. I'm noticing that my manager only uses him in save situations. He'll go almost a month without an appearance if there are no save opportunities for him. Has anyone else made a closer and knows if they get used in non-save outings from time to time? I'd hate to invest the time into my guy if he's only gonna get 30-40 innings a year.

i made a closer. when i was in double a they only bought me in save situation. but when i got promoted to triple a they had me as a setup man even though i was a closer and i played in non save opptunties. it is fun being the closer though. i like only being put in closing situations. i still can get my goals done and i got alot apperances.

Same here, all my AA games were closing, in AAA and in the majors i was set up and even came into games in non save situations, even was into games for a couple on innings... if you fail to many goals or blow to many saves, you will most likely get the closer role taken away for awhile, it happened to me.
