Turning a reliever into a starter

Nowdays i's very common to turn a reliever into a starter. I'm planning to sign Phil Hughes from the Yankees and turn him into a starter.

Is it possible without editing his stats?

Thanks in advance

You don't even have to edit him at all, you can just put him into your starting rotation., but you can change him to a starting pitcher if you want.

Hughes should already have pretty good stamina, no? The dude has been a starter the last 2 years.

If he doesn't, then I think after a full year of starting his stamina might increase. Probably better off just editing him though.

Re: Turning a reliever into a starter

Last year in The Show 11' I change Kris Medlen w/the Braves, from a reliever to a starter. I had to edit his stamina to about 75-80. He would get tired around 6 1/3 innings. He was a beast as LRP. I spot started him a couple of times and I liked his stuff.

I have The Show 12'. I am playing with the Braves this year as well. I have not started my franchise yet. I am pitching well with the starting 5 in exhibition games, I will have Medlen as LRP again, but if anyone the young guys struggle or get injured. I will put Medlen in the rotation.

Re: Turning a reliever into a starter

I think what the OP wants to know is how to extend or work on the players ability to start in this game.

For example if you make Hughes a SP in spring training will his stamina rating grow? If you send him down to AAA and have him in the rotation for the month and let him start 4-5 times will his stamina rating be effected?

If you just throw him into the MLB rotation will he gain more stamina through the course of the season?
