The Show Franchise Guide

Ok, I feel like Knight and I have answered many of the same questions lately about the workings of franchise mode and I wanted to try to consolidate the information the best I can. This is in no way perfect, and I am not an expert on ALL parts franchise. I began work on a franchise guide and I still have tons to add to it, but here is what I have now. Anything that you guys can think of that needs to be edited or added please list it.

Re: Franchise Guide

This should be stickied, although it is missing some parts at the end. Looks like it was cut off, or when you pasted it, something didn't get copied.

Re: Franchise Guide

Excellent job so far.

Just one thing I think you should clarify, for the spring training workaround (to avoid rosters being messed up), 30 team control is not at all needed for the first workaround you have there:
Quote:
A work around is to use 30 team control and the OSFM 25 man roster. Then after spring training add players back to the 40 man roster.
You simply need to remove players 26-40 from the 40 man roster before you even enter franchise mode. Once spring training ends, you can add your players back; for the other 29 teams, the CPU will rebuild the 40 man rosters itself.

I get what you were saying and stuff but I imagine some might misinterpret it and think that they they could only use this workaround if they have 30 team control.

Again, great job, I will definitely be reading the entire thing a few times, as I don't really know much about franchise mode myself, albeit the only mode I play.

Re: Franchise Guide

Great job man! Thanks a million!
This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for as this year is the first year I'm tackling franchise mode.

I used to solely focus on Rtts the last 3 years.

Re: Franchise Guide

Some good information here. Great work tabarnes! Quick question- will players turn down an arbitration offer to test free agency?
