Inside the park home run (ai error)

Does anyone else have problem with ai, it goes like this. Im playing with cpu outfield & base running.

Batter bats the ball hard, it hits in the wall, and base runner starts running.
Outfielder comes to the ball, throws it to some infielder (to ss i think) and the dude just stands there with the ball, contemplating something while other guy score easy home run. And then he throws the ball to the catcher.

It happens far too often to me, im pissed.

Sorry for poor explanation, but i dont know much about baseball, altough im learning, but i think this is a big error in the game.

Haven't seen that but I have seen where the cpu outfielder comes running in on a shallow pop up, dives and misses it and the ball rolls all the way to the wall for an easy triple or inside the ballpark homerun. Happens a bit too much and I lead the league in triples because of it.

I had my outfielder speeds at 0, but have now bumped it up to 5 to see if I can cut that occurence down

I haven't seen it happen for my fielders, and I use auto fielding. I have seen it happen when my player hits it, and I'm not complaining

I saw this in the demo and last years game. It's almost as though the cpu decides it can't get you out, even though the play would be close, so doesn't bother throwing. Aesthetically though it looks kinda poor.

I had the CPU hit a inside the park HR like the OP described in my first game of the season. I have auto Fielding on because I suck at Fielding. I wonder if switching to manual control mid play will help combat the issue.

No it won't help playing manually. That inside the park home run is a bug, and it's happened to me twice in 4 games played. It should be looked at by 2K.
