Haven't played a Madden on PSP in FOREVER. Which version should I get?

maybe the most recent madden 4 psp i haven't played a psp for 5 or so years

I've heard Madden 08 is the best, but I've never played it.

I have tried them all. I always keep the latest just to be updated, but I always carry 08 with me. 06 was good, 07 better, 08 was the best. I like the play calling interface. It has accelerated time which makes up for the loading time between plays that all PSP Madden games suffer from. And the replay cut-ins on big plays are cool except for some bad angles. The releases after that those. Only improvements up to 12 is you can play defense with their point of view, slightly with the graphics and gameplay, but not really enough to get excited about. It has to be 08 for me if I could only have one.
