Franchise trading.

So in franchise mode a whole lot of ridiculous trades are going on, and I'd like to put an end to it by turning the trade option off until the last few weeks before the deadline. Where is on/off option located, and also where can I turn off the Force Trade option? I've searched each category in Franchise and cannot find a thing.

I was wondering if this issue still existed. Guess this answers my question, sadly. My best advice would be to control every team although it's a LOT of work.

Guess I'll just have to live with seeing Mike Trout getting traded for Chipper Jones and things like that because controlling all 30 seems so ridiculous compared to a simple on/off feature.

I'm surprised they still have trades like this. I know the logic was supposed to be fixed this year. I know it will never be perfect but I thought the big thing for this years logic is that top prospects will be treated like top prospects and not traded as much.

Yea, I quit my franchise when Eric Hosmer was traded to the Padres for Cameron Mayben and Tim Stauffer LOL,

Don't get me wrong, it does seem a bit better this year, but it still is a ways off. It will never be perfect, but that is why people want a "trade slider" or have restrictions (e.g., CPU cannot trade A prospects, CPU cannot trade anyone rated an 80 or higher, etc.).

Wow that trade is pretty bad, no way KC does that. And no way the Trout for Chipper deal happens. There needs to be something attached to potential, like a "untouchable" player or something like that.

Re: Franchise trading.

Hosmer was traded on mine as well for Melky Cabrera, and Jason Kipnis for Bruch Chen. Giants traded Brandon Belt for Ichiro and the Royals also traded Alex Gordon for Brett Gardner. Not only is my franchise having horrible trades that make no sense, but the trades are basically happening 2-3 times a week right now and that just seems like way to much activity and to many players changing names nowhere the deadline. Definitely makes me want to stop playing franchise all together, which is my favorite aspect.

Re: Franchise trading.

I didn't feel like going through all previous trades to figure out how, but this is the Yankees lineup in 2014 (none were obtained as free agents, they were all trades):

1. Starlin Castro, SS
2. Josh Hamilton, LF
3. Robinson Cano, 2B
4. Justin Upton, RF
5. Mark Texeira, 1B
6. Alex Rodriguez, DH
7. Brian McCann, C
8. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B
9. Adam Jones, CF

And their rotation:

1. CC Sabathia
2. Michael Pineda
3. Madison Bumgarner
4. Stephen Strasburg
5. CJ Wilson

I know none of these we FA, because I never had a chance to sign them. So, my question is, how is this even possible? If a team, in real life, could build that team, they'd win 140 games. Something is definitely off.
