Anyone else super annoyed by the new PCI?

So I've used Zone hitting since the first time I played The Show and I've always set the PCI to On.

The yellow circle was mildly annoying at first but I got used to looking past it to see the ball coming out of the pitchers hand and I always found that I was better at putting the bat on the ball when I knew right where the PCI was.

Then this year, I fire up the new game to find the PCI looks like a god damn explosion. I find all the little dots around the PCI EXTREMELY annoying, to the point that I had to shut the PCI off and now I find myself aiming way to high or way too low since I have no real idea where the PCI is until after I swing.

Is anyone else super annoyed with the new PCI?

I just wonder what the logic was behind making an already mildly annoying circle in the strike zone into an extremely annoying, huge exploding blob. Why can't I have the option to switch it back to the old PCI or at least adjust the transparency of the massive PCI?

I used it for a little bit then turned it off. It didn't annoy me at all what it looked like, but I don't like to use it anyways so I always turn it off. Could never figure out how to hit with it on.

I like it.

It shows the sweet spot of the bat, and the little blotches stand for just making contact. The smaller the spots the less contact. Before the pitch comes you can press O or Square to see the difference in the size of the PCI so you can see what your power swing PCI looks like vs. contact vs. normal swing.

It would be great to have the option of changing PCI transparency. Seems like a pretty easy option to implement; I'm surprised it hasn't been.

Jimmy, that is a brilliant suggestion! I honestly never thought of that. I always turn pci off, but if there was a way to make it almost see through, that would be awesome.

if you play on legend difficulty, it'll be much smaller. that's probably not helpful to you, but I prefer the pci to be small.

If it doesn't break anything I'm going to boost the transparency of it a little when we patch again.
