What exactly is this game mode? I have heard good things about it but i cant quite grasp what it is. Could someone give me an overview of what exactly this game mode is?

Say it's (random date) April 21st in real life. You have the option of playing April 21st's game and April 21st's game only for that day. If you do play, the stats you generate go to your players and the result of your game goes into the win / loss column. If you don't play, the real life game's stats are inserted.

I think that's how it works, I probably won't test it out until opening day though.

exactly..You have to play spring training games until the regular season..If you miss the day of a spring training game. the actual score and stats are recorded until you play next..I look forward to all sports doing this eventually..
