Cutscenes Missing this year that were in MLB 11

Hi,

I have been waiting of buying MLB 11 for about 3 months waiting for 12's release. What a fantastic game. What concerns me though are where are all the cutscenes?

After playing MLB the show in the past and the show 11 demo for the past week or so, I feel like the new broadcast addition seems to be missing cutscenes that were in previous games.

In previous years they used to;

- introduce all the umpires
- show close-ups inside and outside the stadiums
- have 7th inning stretch
- raking the field around 4th/5th innings

As much as I love the broadcast, all I am seeing is pitcher and batter camera cuts. Have all the above been taken out? I am not hovering over X and have played 3 full games with no skipping at all.

Any ideas? Maybe im unlucky. Has any seen the above?

Can you just put my worries to rest and tell me its all still in the game? Its seems a little empty broadcast wise and im not sure what all the fuss was about. I love the small details and it feels like alot of them have gone.

The umpire introduction was boring and repetitive anyway. They don't even do that in real life.. But that is just my opinion, so I'm glad they are gone. The stadium shots seem the same to me. And I don't ever remember seeing anything to do with the 7th inning stretch, not in last years game and not in any MLB The Show game.

And yeah, I did notice the grounds crew fixing the dirt and stuff is now gone. I don't really miss it.

Ok, thanks for the response. I will keep playing and see what pops up.

Hopefully it is still in there but not every single game.

They always introduce the umpires on both teams' broadcasts here in Chicago, and I know for a fact TBS always does umpire introductions. Not sure about the other national networks, but it's certainly part of most broadcasts I watch.

Pretty sure I HAVE seen the grounds crew raking the dirt after the 3rd or 6th inning...not every time, but once in awhile...

Haven't seen the other things you listed, but I'll keep an eye out tonight...

I noticed this too.
They used to have a clip of announcers singing "Take me out to the Ballgame" in Chicago.
Also, I thought one of the new features was more umpires with new tendencies. Without introductions, I don't see how this is acheived.
I'm watching now for "Hit by Pitch" and/or ejections.

I am surprised there r no longer umpire intros, given the 14 new umps.

It always ticked me off when the "grounds crew" would "rake" the infield. Well it's more the batters boxes becoming fresh again. That obviously doesn't happen in real baseball.

It is cool to see a nice smooth infield though but I was hoping this year the chalk for the batters boxes or down the lines would be fresh like the start of the game.

Also to make sure the grounds crew doesn't rake or touch anything is a team has to score in the bottom of the 3rd or bottom of the 6th.
