naitive 780p or 1080p this year?

Hoping this year that the show is optimized for 1080p or still 720? Can anyone confirm which one?

Lots of extra characters to say one thing: 720.

Still optimized for 720p, but I'll be interested to see if forcing 1080p works this year, or if we just get the up-scaling we saw in MLB 11.

EDIT: EnigmaNemesis posted this last year about this very subject, and I'm willing to bet it still holds true.. So probably no real 1080p.

That is why last year I ran numerous tests on various displays and used the Dell LCD as the source and it discovered it was a 540p image being scaled.

I asked Kolbe and one of the techs personally cause of the issue when I was in San Diego.

This is what they said, and I quote, "the game no longer supports 1080p native. We are doing too much in the engine and it is too taxing on the hardware now. It is optimized for the max native resolution of 720p. Anything higher will be 720p upscaled"

Case closed.

Still 720p. No native 1080p.

All the cases are going to say that now. It is to not confuse the average consumer (who may thing cause it does not say 1080p, it may not work) since the 1080p TVs will "scale" the resolution larger or smaller to fit the screen.

I just played a game in 1080p and I didn't notice any glitching or slowdown. Played in a spring training stadium though. To me it does look noticeably crisper in 1080p. I had to force it to 1080p, because as stated already, it's still optimized for 720.

The problem with that seems to be timing. There seems to be a slight "input lag" when running in 1080p. I noticed my hitting get a lot better when moving back to 720p, because my player actually swings when I hit the button. It may not be visually noticeable, but it does make a difference. I'm thinking I may put it in 1080p when I'm doing franchise and only watching CPU vs. CPU games.
