Has anyone tried 2 player on one console?

I gave it a go and found it impossible to pitch. Your friend either sees your location or you wait until the cursor disappears and try their rumble sensitivity method which I found to be a joke. If it rumbles even a tad the pitch is still way out of the strike zone. Am I missing something???
