I have a PS3 and I have been unable to play NBA2K12 at all. When I first opened the brand new copy of the game and put it into my system, it froze on the startup screen. After researching the online forums and downloading the patch that would "fix" this problem, I went about the steps to do so.

I then started an association which I was able to play twice. Now, the stupid game freezes every time I try to start my association. I read up on how to fix this, and followed the steps not once, not twice, but three separate times to no avail.

So I've had this game for a week and have played it for a total of about 30 minutes because it doesn't work. I think 2K sports should refund my money as long as I send this DVD full of Dog poo back to them.

Any thoughts?

Take it back to the store with receipt, explain your issues, and see what happens

Don't use the shortcut on the home menu. Click "o" scroll down and load it from there

Good idea to reopen this CMH.

It's obvious this is still a problem. Perhaps you can use the help offered by cavsfan. If you're not interested in help, Ninja's suggestion is also a good one. It's inexcusable a game freezes on you to the point where it is unplayable. But raising the pitchforks for a refund here in the Operations Sports NBA 2k forum isn't going to do anything useful.

I dont know if it is a freezing issue but my game is having problems also. Every game I play is getting stuck while the players are walking to the locker room. The camera will follow the players walking to the tunnel then will get stuck and the game basically freezes so to say. The game is unplayable because nothing I do will get the game to "unfreeze".

I've found that signing in to PSN before hitting my association allows it to load. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with getting the latest NBA Today changes, but ever since i started signing in all the time, no more freezes on association load.
