March 6th in Europe???

Hi guys,


my favorite sport is baseball, i love this sport since i lived in Boston one year, but unfortunately I live in Europe and maybe a couple of you know how unknown this is here in Europe.


I`m so excited that MLB 2K12 is coming out on March 6^th, but it is coming out on this date also in Europe? I saw amazon.com has a pre-order option, but this wouldn’t help me because it is a NTSC version, and we play in Europe just PAL.


So I was looking for it at Amazon.de, .at, .co.uk but I didn’t find the game, not even on Gamestop, no pre-order option. That’s ok, but I’m afraid that the game will come out here later than in America. Do you know some sites that also sell the PAL version of the game? Or do you know if Amazon or Gamestop in Europe will sell it on March 6^th?

Try ebay.co.uk. There is an Australian seller on there that has it for preorder.
Not available until 12th March though.

As I understand, the game will not be released in Europe. You have to import it in from a country that supports PAL, the link that jr86 provided seems best.

MLB 2K11 was completely region free, since I'm playing an NTSC version on a PAL Xbox since October. I bought this copy late, September I think, and my shop here in Italy found me this NTSC copy that works just fine. Even the NBA 2K series is completely region free since 2K9, so hopefully MLB 2K12 will follow suit. I know it's a risk to buy a NTSC version, but I don't see why they should turn back to the old lock system. Maybe you'd better wait for an official european release. I'll be in NY for a week from the 17th of March, so, if an european copy will not be available at that date, I'll buy an NTSC copy there. It also costs way less than the rest of the world...

The US version is not regionfree this year and I wouldn't hold my breath that there will be an PAL release. Especially since producing an extra PAL version would cost 2K Sports more than producing the regionfree version.

And that one Austrailian Ebay store is the only one even mentioning a PAL version. Nowhere else is a POAL version mentioned.

I can't understand why 2K Sports didn't release a regionfree version again this year. Maybe they just don't like us.

Maybe next year whoever gets the MLB rights can produce a regionfree/PAL version.

Did you get to know when does it come out here in Europe?
