Famous Movies you Haven't Seen

Title says it all, list some of the mega blockbusters that you have yet to see, and/or have no desire to.

The Godfather series
No Country for Old Men
The Gladiator
Titanic
A Clockwork Orange
Apocalypse Now
Passion of the Christ (I don't watch movies to read a book, I hate caption movies)
the Star Trek series
Scarface
Pulp Fiction
Braveheart
Dirty Dancing
Good Will Hunting
American Graffiti
Apocalypto

That's all I can think of for now, anyways, that's my list, what's your's?

Re: Famous Movies you Haven't Seen

By refusing to watch films with subtitles you are truly missing out on some fantastic cinema. You'll never get to see any of Kurosawa, Fellini, Godard or Bergman's films and that is a real shame. That's just a small handful of some of the greatest filmmakers of all-time too.

On topic, as a film aficionado I pretty much try to see any film of relevance. I cringe at most "blockbusters" (although some do make for decent popcorn movies) but I at least give just about anything a chance. There is one glaring exception though and that is Titanic. I have never seen it and I never will. I have seen every other film in the OP though and own almost all of them. I did notice that every single one was an American film and that you listed Apocalypse Now twice.

I have never watched any of the Star Wars movies in their entirety. Same with The Godfather.

Watch Godfather 1 & 2. Only watch 3 if you thoroughly enjoyed 1 & 2 and want more "closure."

Shawshank Redemption

A Clockwork Orange
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 1 & 2

It's a lock you'll like Godfather 1 & 2, Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting.

I loved No Country for Old Men but a lot of people didn't.

My list includes Clerks and all the Star "Bores" movies (I've seen enough snippets of them to be totally disinterested in that franchise).

Any particular reason you won't see it? I watch it every time it's on TNT.

Haven't seen...

- Star Wars (all six)
- Forrest Gump
- American Beauty
- Goodfellas
- LOTR trilogy (though we saw and read long snippets of the first one in a literature class of mine, and it just didn't appeal to me in the slightest)
- The Big Lebowski
- Braveheart
- Rocky (all six)
- L.A. Confidential (aiming to see this one really soon)

Over winter break I had finally seen all eight Harry Potter films, so if this thread was made in early December, they would have also cracked the list.

I know a couple of those films aren't that big, but they are either popular or highly acclaimed in some shape or form, and I just haven't ever tried to see them.

Re: Famous Movies you Haven't Seen

I saw Titantic once and that was more than enough for me. It's basically an epic chick flick.
