Is anyone else doing this?

Win 6 games in a row and you get a spot in the live NYC tournament.
NYS tourny pays out $480 to 256th-140th place all the way up to $2,000 for top 10, $40,000 for 2nd place and $140,000 for first.

I'm pretty good (325 - 65 online) but never got into the online betting.

I got into it yesterday. On my first try i won 4 games in a row to step into the 2nd qualifier which starts in 5 days, if i win 2 more games i'm in the NYC tourny. Pretty excited, didn't play any cheesers in my 4 games and pretty much man handled them, I never gave up more than 13 points in all 4 games.

anyone else doing this? how successful are you?

I'm considering trying again to get a 2nd or possibly even a 3rd spot in the 2nd qualifier, so i can get a 2nd chance if i lose or possibly play myself for game six if i can get through 5 games a second time. I wonder if this is illegal and would disqualify myself?


just wondering what other people's experience with this are, has anyone done this before?


I hope to GOD they let us use custom playbooks at the live tourny, they should! and my Customer Panther offense is sunk without my sweet playbook....

I highly doubt you are able to enter multiple times to increase your chances

I'm betting not many here are in it, this is more of a sim community where the VGMT 140K is a not so much sim.

As for myself I planned on participating, but ran into some issues over the past weeks and decided not too. Personally, I LOVE playing Madden competitively, so much fun.

and i haven't play madden competively too much, just afew local radio contests and stuff that I always win when i play honestly. And while you say this is a sim community...like i said, through 4 rounds i have yet to play someone i consider a cheeser.

I really urge people not to go thru with this at all for a variety of reasons.

1) Health reasons, the way these guys play is disgusting and is not SKILL related

2) First to cry first to get paid- People on that site know full well how to manipulate the customer support and the system just like they do the game. You can be winning and these guys will quit and report hey have won and you will be screwed out of you win and money for playing

3) Cheating- we all know this , but these guys take it to a level that makes you wanna buy software to find out where they live and give them the PERMA BAN.

Playing madden for money was fun, but when people are glitching the game and system that pays you has become a little too much. I recently closed my VG account due tot he fact I was matched up in a tournament with a guy whose feedback rating had nothing but Negatives about him cheating and I could not avoid him.

I was winning 14-0 Me 49ers, him GB!

3rd quarter starts and he has finley at WR and just rocket catches his way down the field. On defense he starts the 1-5-5 shake glitch and sacks me on run plays and causes fumbles to get back in the game. I recorded the game and sent it in as proof and VG told me it wasnt good enough as my opponent didnt CHEAT THE WHOLE GAME!

This is nothing but a cheaterfest if you will and the guys who are buying in $450 in cash are worse than this. How will it feel to never actually have a chance to establish anything due to the fact you're getting glitched the whole game and VG does nothing about it? Not worth the trip to NY when actual SKILL is not being put to the test here.

But good luck for those who are gonna do what they want anyway, and for the record, I hung in there as long I could with a record of 109-60 but defending that crap got really tiring and pathetic to keep going for as long as I did. even the guys who are known for glitching all made alternate accounts to get games in because know one would play them anymore.

My life is alot better now and if and when they establish some concrete rules, then I will return, but until then, the reasons we dont like madden IS WHAT THEY'RE BENEFITTING OFF OF!

like i said, 4 games in everything i've seen is straight, i'm 2 games away from being in NYC and i feel pretty confident i can make win 2 more games

most of the people i see in VG don't have blowout good record, nor alot of negative reviews. and i dont know what your talking about these guys pay 450 to get into the tourny suck more? that doesnt make sense. and if you go to NY then there will be live people observing the games, i'm sure i can call someone over to observe if i'm being cheated in person.

I don't think I could ever join a tournament because I know how players are when money is on the line. They will do anything they can to cheat their way to a win.

You're here asking and i gave my impressions and its not just 1 baller, its 90% of them but if you enjoy getting you money TAKEN then so be it and have at it. But in all honesty you sound just like the way they play, so it may just be that perfect fit for you.

Another thing , you are on a SIM forum, I gave you NON SIM iMPRESSIONS and im "whining". My record is over .500 and have dealt with alot of BS over the year in pub rooms and on VG.

If you like Rocket Catching, Nano Blitzing, Shake Glitches, Motion Glitches, and whatnot, then good, stop asking and move on.

But if you wanna do a BAN BET with me like another member here who talked like you did, then you are more than welcome to see for yourself!
