Who is your Best Player on 2K ? And Suprsingly Good Player

For this thread i just want the community to share who are their most effective players to use on 2k. In other words who do you dominate the game with and how you do it. Name a few go to moves and/or plays, share with the rest of us how to best use YOUR strongest player. Also if at all possible try to do the same description for a sixth man/ second star type player. I love playing 2k every year but i have always been a little dissapointed about the fact that i dont become familiar with all the star players (is just impossible to use them all, i always end up only fully developing my skills on a few great-good players). Also clarify what diffcutly you prefer to play on and what sliders set (if you use any); this isn't meant to be an opprotunity to shows boat who plays hall of fame or who is a noob playing rookie; nothing like that here please. Is just different diffculty setting and sliders could mean different experiences with certain 2k players.

My Strongest Player is Dirk for Hall of Fame Sim

Go to move: Baseline fade away
Counter Move: Spin then leaner
Top Plays For Dirk (to score): DAL PUNCH, LAL TRI BASE, DAL DIRTY, and NYK ICE

My sixth man Player is Odom also for Hall of Fame Sim

I play him at center 80% of the time paired up with no real PG (think shumpert, lou williams, mo williams types) and big PFs (think Dirk,Bargani, and Blatche) then i make Lamar run tons of PnR plays as the ball handler. It completely exposes the defense because no center in the NBA can defend the PnR with Odom as the ball handler. I also surrond Lamar with nothing but shooters, once he starts any PnR play the defense just collapses.

Go to plays: Dallas Heat Killer (is a double screen this one, you should see the chaos on the D), Mem 2 Side, NYK Fist, Mem Double Screen, DAL Angle

How do you guys use your stars ?

Tyreke Evans - Better / Most Used move - Drive with eurostep, playing him as PG

Best player is probably a tie between Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry. Ellis is a flat out scorer who can put up 25+ easily, and Curry is also a good shooter/scorer but also a good assists man. Both guys get it done in different ways. I like to run isolation plays for Ellis and pick apart mismatches, usually ending up with a decent look from midrange for him. With Curry I run plays to free him up in the midrange or from 3, but most of his points also come from either pick and roll plays or isolation mid range jumpshots. Both of them are great at creating enough space to get off a good look, and those types of plays are very valuable to me in my association.

Dorell Wright is surprisingly good. He is money with his 3 point shot from the corners, and plays pretty good D and rebounds. I like to run GS Quick which is a quick downscreen to try and get him an open shot, or MIL Offscreen which starts with a pick and roll for the PG but turns into a downscreen for a 3 point shot. I don't run a lot of plays for Wright though, he gets most of his points in transition by shooting corner 3s when the D is out of position. Right now he's averaging like 14 ppg and 6 reb in my association. Shooting 47% both from the field and from 3.

One guy I absolutely can not use well is Nate Robinson. Has anyone been able to use him properly? Every game it seems he ends up 1-6 from the field for 2 points. I just can't get him going most of the time. I don't know if it's his jumpshot animation or what, but I just can't hit buckets with him. He's shoot 25% from the field in 20 games in my association.

Funny thing your brought up D.Wright... In my association i have Tayshuan Prince as my SF i use him basically the same way you use Wright; one or two plays for shots and then mostly transition corner 3's. GSW in my association is okay with me trading Prince + a Late first rounder for Wright.. I have been contemplating this trade for weeks lol but after hearing your endorsement of Dorell hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ~ My only concern is how is his D ? Tayshuan for his lack of offense does have REAL LONG arms all over the passing lanes. I am struggling with this choice big time, is almost trade deadline in my association too .... ~

Re: Who is your Best Player on 2K ? And Suprsingly Good Player

Derrick Rose is mine. I can be pretty dominant with him against my buddies. If im online and I see someone picking the Thunder vs me I instantly pick the Bulls because its wierd i'll run into people who use Russell Westbrook more then Durant. I like to usually give them a reminder who the better PG is. Now if I could consistently hit threes with him which I usually tend to avoid with Rose unless he's feeling it and wide open or 4th quarter. Hes an assasian in the game (and real life lol) at slashing and off the dribble shots near the free throw line.

Suprisingly good player is Jason Richardson for me. As far as nba 2k is considered he can still throw them down and stretch the D with his outside shot. Magic are deadly to use because everyone can pratically shoot threes, and when the person notices I'm stretching them I can feed Dwight. Richardson when he's hot can get about 18-20 points in online games with me.

Honorable mentions for dominant: Lebron (ive only used heat one time online and my god slashing I was barely trying and filled the stat sheet) and Rudy Gay (Fills a stat sheet when I have used him unbeliavable slasher in the game.)

HM Suprising: Ronnie Brewer (Fastbreak = free dunk with him) Ray Allen (people must forget his 3 point abilities, alotta times I find him wide open in the corner, i'm suprised people dont respect his shot)

I haven't played with him, or GS, but if I were to use him I'd only shoot open 3s and lay ups/dunks. PnR with Ellis/Curry and Lee drive and kick to an open Nate. The screen for shooters option is another way to get him an open look. You should also use his speed to your advantage. Have him cut to the basket and run the PnR and let him blow by people.
