Madden on HDTV.. Please help! game Looks like crap

I just bought madden 12 for the PS3 so I can play it on my roommates big screen HDTV. Frankly, the graphics look like **** on this thing. Its a great TV, am I doing something wrong? Are there settings I can fix?
Im not a big techie so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
What im seeing is a very pixelated game especially when the action starts and when the camera zooms out. I feel as though I got a boot-leg version of Madde

How do you have it hooked up? A/V cables, component cables, or hdmi?

Same thing I am thinking. Sounds like it must be hooked up using the standard AV cables if it looks that bad.

thats wierd, i used to play madden on my 65 in hdtv with the reg A/V cords and it doesnt look bad,not to big of a diff from when i use hdmi on my 40 in tv

You sure about that. Maybe I am using the wrong terminology but I am not referring to the HD component cables but the standard AV cables like with a VCR.

i think the standard cables red/white/yellow are called component cables and the ones with red blue green are HD component cables, so your right there, but yes im sure iv used all three cables before red blue green,red,white.yellow, and HDMI. i got what your saying and yes if hes useing the reg component cables that why it looks bad

The red/white/yellow are composite cables, the red/blue/green are the component cables and are capable of displaying HD quite fine, not as well as an HDMI Cable. If the screen is very large, you may be sitting too close to it when you play which could cause you to see the imperfections.

And to say no diff in using Composite vs Component, Must own a CHEAP AZZ tv....cause you can't even compare the two'!!!!!!!!!!!
On the flip side, Make sure you download a update or something EA had to put out for PS3 users, Cause Madden looked like crap no matter what cables you use until EA fit it.....
