Well There's an Interesting Insight...

Sometimes I cruise around the Pastapadre site looking for interesting tidbits, and it is the same place that I saw a report last year that MLB The Show was looking into instituting an EA-style "Online Code" to help reclaim lost revenue to used copies being sold.

That story was quickly rebuffed by Russell, but this afternoon I glanced quickly at this little gem:

Somehow I was not given the impression by the "Rep for SCEA" that the game had been shortchanged due to another platform..

Funny how we read things differently I guess...

Heh...look at his comments about The Show when he was invited to the Community Event and then look at his comments since SCEA stopped inviting him. That really tells you all you need to know about his "insight"...lol

I suppose we should all be grateful to him though. After all, it was his hard-nosed journalism that got SCEA to remove those troublesome online league restrictions last year and stop their "deceptive tactics." Don't believe it? Just ask him.

It's unfortunate but it is true that VITA took away from areas that could have been worked on.

I honestly could care less for a handheld version, I haven't played a handheld game since gameboy. I don't commute and would rather play a game in surround sound on my big tv. But maybe for others it is a benefit.

Can't wait til we get to see these improvements in video form.

Like you said it depends on where your stance is. You see it as a hindrance, I view it as an opportunity to have another avenue to keep playing when I normally would not be able to. You also have to figure this was the vita's initial buildup year so extra time was needed. I am sure it will not be this time consuming here on in. Funny thing, no one seemed to complain when they were still doing the PS2 and PSP versions as far as taking time away from the PS3. I guess it depends on how you spin it!

The Show almost always fixes their problems. It's easily the best sports game out there. I can care less about grass and other things as long as the GAMEPLAY is solid and every year it is. Mark me down for another satisfied year of playing the Show over all the other sports games out!

That's an excellent last point, but I would say they weren't starting from scratch with PS2 versions. They had years past games to build on.

We haven't been starting from scratch on any of the versions mentioned.
