Will there be another patch for 2k12?

I just watched Chris Smoove's video about the "Big Patch" and early on he says that this is what we have to settle with until 2k13.

Is this correct? 2K isn't gonna change ANYTHING about the game until next year? I didn't get 2k11 until about 7 months after it came out, but a friend told me that there were multiple patches for it. I figured there would be multiple patches for 2k12 as well.

Beluba does the patches.

Beluba has been working on NBA 2K13 for a while now.....

Take that however you want.

IMO it seems fairly clear that NBA 2K12 hasn't been supported post release the way NBA 2K11 was.

Just my opinion, but the DLC took a lot of time away from the team...IMO that woud have been better spent patching 2K12.

DLC = $$$.

Patch fixing doubles, online, AI bugs = customer's happier.

Not blaming 2K...it's the way things are nowadays. I am sure the DLC made them a lot of $$$. Personally, I just don't like the trend of games being released with bugs...these not being fixed, DLC given priority...it's happening in a lot of games.

When the nba announced a lockout did 2k just take a vacation? I don't see how they didn't already have rookies ready to be inserted the moment they signed so they could focus on major flaws to patch afterwards. I hope 2k has something special planned for 2k13 considering there's still players not added.

The gaming industry had changed no doubt than what it used to be.

Even though I don't agree with everyone and there opinion regarding 2K but I can say I think enough issues and disappointment regarding some of the gameplay decisions that it warrants a response from 2K as to what exactly was the direction they took this year regarding some of the major gripes about there game. I am curious will they respond????

No benefit to responding for them. If it was decisions and not mistakes with some game-play work then its just a matter of taste. If its mistakes and not decisions, then they are saying we didn't support the game well enough. No upside to addressing either to the community. I personally feel some of the "issues" were decisions made on purpose. Now whether i agree with them, is one thing but it doesn't mean they were lazy to not fix something, means i just do not agree with how they think it should work (fast-breaks for example). Other "issues" i do think they missed. Like the lack of double teams.

As for the DLC comments. This has been mentioned many times before. The DLC has little to no gameplay changes. Its mainly all artwork which is its own department. Its not like the same guys literally do every aspect of the game. Whether you feel the gameplay is good, average or poor, its not on the art guys, which means the DLC has nothing to do with it.

I hope we see a patch, i just do not think we will. I do not think 2K12 received less support. I believe the game just had further to go in the eyes of those who do not like it as much as they did 2K11.

The 2K11 patch was outstanding...it transformed the game from a 7.5 type title to a strong 9.5. Developers were frequently conversing and just about all issues were addressed.

Conversely, 2K12 came out with a number of issues...and the patch basically fixed fast breaks to a degree and not a lot else. A number of glaring things were left out / ignored.

It's still a really solid game and I enjoy it...a solid 8.0 / 10 game. It probably could have been a 9.5 + with a stronger patch, but that seems unlikely.

As long as the PC version gets its patch, I don't care what could possibly happen.
