The Official!!! I will not buy NBA 2k13 Thread!

Ok I officially destroyed my copy of 2k12 tonite. I had it just couldn't take the ridiculousness of it any more.

I loved 2k10 and 11. By far 2 of the best basketball games I have ever played as I feel most people would say. But to say this year's version is a disappointment is a huge understatement. I play mostly My Player so that's what I will speak on and I know somewhere on this forum its been said before but to me this version is unplayable. Here are my main gripes.


1. It doesn't matter who's guarding me or how fast or slow they are they always cut me off or force me to pick up my dribble. Maxed out speed and quickness no change.

2. Why put put shot control in if when there are defenders around the player is just gonna do whatever he wants anyway. If I wanna do a hopstep don't make do a runner. And Why does my guy constantly do pull up jumpers directly underneath the basket and attempt lay-ups when I tell him to do a pull up jumper. And don't get me started on the dunking. I still can only consistently dunk on wide open fast breaks. Not on wide open drives spins etc.

3. Shot blocking every player on the cpu team is Motumbo in his prime. Stupid.

4. Speaking of stupid what about my teammates. I am on the Bulls and derrick Rose refuses to take any shots unless the shot clock is down to 4. At which point he attempts the worst shot I can think of.

5. Cpu shooting. There are games where unless I block it personally or its from half court the cpu doesn't miss until after the half.

6. Big men fade aways and leaners from outside. I mean I can see when Garnett gets a few to fall but guys like Oden, Vareajeo (sp) and Speights are poppin shots from just inside the 3 point line its a little crazy.

7. Passing... So many times I throw a pass and My Player justs throws off the guy in front of him's back. I am pretty sure if I was in the NBA me personally right now out of shape and all I could manage to avoid throwing passes off someones back especially the person who is guarding me!!!!!!

8. ESP defenses. I jab step, no move, I jab step again no move I launch he already is in front of me before I take my first step. Even worse when I pump fake he jumps but glides spinning in the air and stops my progress to the hole.

9. Omg the shooting!!!!!! I release it says A+ Shot perfect release I miss... ok it happens. Same thing next time down the court again and again and again and now I am snowflaked. I laugh every time I get the flex your basketball I.Q. dynamic goal. thats all I ever take. Meanwhile Greg Oden is hittin pull up spinning fadeaway three's in Noah's face.

Feel free to add anymore comments. I really feel that we all as basketball fans need to say we are not gonna buy this game anymore until this stuff is addressed. The worse part is none of this happened in the older games. So its not like Madden where these are legacy issues. And if we continue to spend money on bad NBA 2k games soon they will be Madden. Where you write a post like this and the developers use it for toilet paper.

You destroyed a game...I'm thinking you need to get out more.

I'm not Dr or anything but destroying/breaking games in anger just doesn't sound right to me?? My advice is to maybe stay away from gaming all together for a while until you can possibly curb the anger and that in turn will save you a little cash

Why not turn that anger into cash by trading/selling your game?

Lastly I'm pretty shocked at this thread.
