Knicks 2k12 Association users: what have you changed?

This thread was around last year, and i found it pretty useful. Has anyone completely retooled the team in their own image?

I trade Douglas every year (i need pass-first PGs), and am definitley moving Fields to make room for Shump, as he is a blast to use and only going to get better thru drills.

Not sure what other moves i might make, I doubt I am the only one considering trading Amare (no, it won't in real life, but this is a video game damnit!)

Anyone else? Thoughts? Bueller?

Yeah, I don't like using the Knicks because D' Antoni sucks and he is under a expensive long term contract. Makes it impossible to get better defensively.

Re: Knicks 2k12 Association users: what have you changed?

I have. Mainly because as others have mentioned, I want a team that plays better defense. But what I have in mind is a little more radical and very video game based, but if its fun for me, that is what matters, right?

This is what my starting five would look like:

PG - Aaron Craft (CAP)
Point guard out of Ohio State. Plays defense like there is no tomorrow, can pass the ball, and can slash when he needs to score. I don't need a scoring PG like CP3. I want a ball general that can pass and play defense.

SG - Allan Houston (CAP)
Recreate him as a rookie without the blow out knees. 'nuff said. He's my scorer and deadly sharpshooter from beyond the arc.

SF - Harrison Barnes (CAP)
He's my other scorer.

PF - Amar'e Stoudemire or CAP
Not sure about this one. Still thinking about it.

C - Tyson Chandler
He's the only one I'd keep because he plays good defense and rebounds.

I would round out the bench with the current Knicks bench.

I know its pretty radical and purely fantasy, but it looks like it would be a lot of fun.

I always fire D'antoni after the first season, so that's not a worry. I also go after players who play D, i end up turning over most of the roster. Hording draft picks is always fun too.

Re: Knicks 2k12 Association users: what have you changed?

I usually stick with the same core. Starting line up would be:

Davis
Shumpert
Melo
Amare
Chandler

6th man is Fields.

I will try and make a trade (usually using Douglas and maybe a 2013 1st or 2nd pick) for a decent big to backup Amare and Chandler. I develop Shumpert and I usually sign AK47 from free agency.

I have blown the whole team up before but I find that I have more fun keeping most of the players that are already on the team.

I kept the team as is. I signed kenyon martin and wilson chanhe team sucks defensively but, Shumpert is beastly so you should be fine.

LOL CP3 is a general, a natural PG. He doesn't score a lot, he mainly assists, I don't know what have you been seeing, just saying
