Legends roster editing

I downloaded the Legends Showcase DLC and I'm still unable to edit the generic players on the legends rosters on 2K12. I know I must be missing something here, I just don't know what it is.

You can't actually edit the generic players as in change name or edit face (without hexing), but you can release them to fee agency or trade them.
