The Other Coach K -- A Yearbook Legacy (CH 2K8)

This will probably be of little interest to anyone but me. I barely have any time to play this game, let alone document a legacy like some of the other posters on this board. That's especially true because I enjoy & spend so much time on recruiting that I end up simming a lot of games. I'm also infinitely better at recruiting than I am at actually playing the on-court game!

The idea is to keep updates to a minimum. There may be times that I will do more, but at the very least I plan to provide updates at the conclusion of each season. That's why I'm calling this a "Legacy Yearbook".

I don't plan to do much writing or entering data into tables. I have neither the time nor energy to create a bunch of newspaper articles, box scores, and stat sheets. Trust me, I have a lot of respect for the people that do that in their dynasties. However, if I spent the time creating the immersion effect that others do to draw people in, I think I would never get any time to play the game itself.

You should consider this to be a "lazy" legacy thread. I plan to document my legacy as much as possible through game screenshots. The only concern I have about this is that if I use a photo storage site like flickr or photobucket and my account gets canceled or hacked, this legacy thread will become completely useless! (I'm sure some of you already think that... ).

So for now I'm planning to upload my pics directly here. AFAIK this doesn't violate the ToS, but the admins can let me know if this isn't acceptable.

Introduction

Sacramento, CA
A completely unknown basketball coach traveled back in time to the year 2007 to help the struggling Sacramento State basketball program. The university was so desperate for success that they bought into his promise of a quick turnaround, despite his having no coaching or playing background.

During an extremely brief press conference announcing the hiring, the new coach introduced himself as Coach K, or Ed K. Asked to supply his full name, the coach became agitated and said "Its Polish, & you'd just mess up the pronunciation anyway, so why should I bother!"

When asked about his lack of any basketball background or resume, the Coach began slowly flipping a very shiny coin and saying "How dare you doubt me? I traveled back in time, didn't I? Coaching basketball is simple compared to that. You are getting very sleepy, your eyelids are heavy... repeat after me, Coach K will turn this program around, Coach K will turn this program around..."

Coach K's Ratings:
Overall: C+
Offense: C-
Defense: C-
Teaching: C-
Scouting: C-
Charisma: B+
Discipline: C-

First season has already been completed. And it was surprisingly really awful! Brief updates to follow...

See I've already messed this up! It really should've been called "A Legacy Yearbook", but oh well. I see no way to change the thread title.
