12/28 Updated Roster, Roster Share, and Madden Draft Class for PS3

psn=jackntorres for Roster Share

If you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. I'm not saying mine are perfect but I am happier with these than with any others I have seen.

1. I started with a trial account on GameFly, so I wouldn't have to shell out any money for NCAA 12. Credit ScottK10 for the roster with which I started.

2. I rerated every position to be as much like the top draft prospects at http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings
as I could.

3. I dealt with the issue of having the games completely jumble the rosters, I think it has something to do with if you are simming from the national schedule screen.

4. Fresh after Barkley's press conference he's out, along with Teo. Locks like Luck and Richardson are in and guys I think are going like Jeffrey and Griffin are in as well. I went through about 400+ players who were juniors, redshirt juniors, or redshirt sophomores who aren't supposed to leave early but were trying to anyways. Who likes class? I made all of these players sophomores so they would stay (for the rare player I thought wasn't leaving til 2014, I made him a freshman; overall thought not much thought given beyond 2012). I'm not sure how this will affect future draft classes but I'm mainly worried about 2012. I do think this is better than the alternative suggested by somewhere else to lower all of these players below 79 OVR so they will stay.

5. I finally settled on a roster which is included here. I did save at before the conference championship week and do a few rounds of editing just a handful of player (~15) below 79 so they would stay, but like I said not most of them. You won't see these changes on the roster file.

6. I did aim for an accurate draft class and I think you will agree. The only thing I am disappointed about is RGIII and Kalil are not consistently projected in round one. Other than that I have almost all of the first rounders rated as such.

7. After all was said and done with the ratings I did go back and give a boost to LSU. They did prove such on the field this season. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

I may go back and add the other classes but like I said with making everyone either seniors or sophomores they may not be too great. Hopefully 2012 alone is worth it to make Madden more fun for a few more months. Of course, all comments welcomed.

***UPDATED 12/28****

I'm leaving Gilmore and Landry Jones in ATM. Everyone listed in this thread for dreads has them. Most of the changes suggested by Melanconfan were made. I'm pretty happy with this class. Surprisingly RGIII benefitted going from projected 4th to 1st round by changing his height from 6'2" to 6'3". For those who wanted more years sorry but that takes FOREVER. I think this is a good class.

I'll certainly give this a try. I was looking for new rosters. Glad you are a LSU fan too. I would love for you to go through and add the other classes too.

Thanks jackntorres these are great. I just downloaded these today and started a new franchise with miami, and so far they look really good. Luck is projected first round and 99 ovr and top qbs are projected in early rounds. I appreciate your effort in making these and I hope you get to do more draft classes.

Re: 12/23 My Attempt at a Roster and Madden Draft Class for PS3

Just my opinion on the draft class (since I don't have NCAA), I think getting the important players that are coming out in the game is more important than the order they show up as. Getting that reasonably close would be nice, but since I play with 32 team control and can edit players I can adjust if needed. Anyway, my opinion as far as who comes out.

QB: Great other than EJ Manuel. I don't think it makes sense for him to come out, though who knows.

RB/FB: Bernard Pierce may be a bit questionable. Terrance Ganaway is a senior who is missing and could be an interesting option for some team in the mid-rounds.

WR: Sanu is rumored to be returning but it is still just a rumor right now. T.Y. Hilton from FIU is a Senior missing and could get picked in the mid-rounds. Same for Juron Criner (Arizona) and Jordan White (Western Michigan Sr.) could be a sleeper to get picked in the mid rounds.

TE: Only notable player that could be added is George Bryan (N.C. State Sr.)

OT: Barrett Jones (Alabama Jr., may be listed as an OG) could get picked as high as late 1st, though I personally think he will return. Blake DeChristopher (Virginia Tech.) and Josh Oglesby (Wisconsin) are a couple other notables worth trying to get in.

OG: Looks good.

C: Scott Wedige (NIU Sr.) could be worth adding. Great otherwise.

DE: Andre Branch (Clemson Sr.) is missing and could go in the 2nd round. Also not sure if Montgomery would come out, though you're the LSU fan and likely know better.

DT: Derek Wolfe (Cincinnati Sr.) definitely needs to be added. He had an excellent year and as long as he doesn't completely flop at the combine he should at least go in the 3rd round. Logan Harrell (Fresno State Sr.) is also possibly a mid-round pick though probably needs to be a DE

OLB: Chase Thomas (Stanford Sr.) would be worth adding but good aside from that.

ILB: Carmen Messina (New Mexico Sr.) could be worth adding as a potential mid round pick. Good otherwise

CB: Looks pretty good.

S: Good

K/P: Present

Most of these are likely a product of CBS not being that quick to update the rankings during the season. Overall really really good job. Hat's off and thanks.

Manuel was a strange one. He kept coming out higher than RGIII despite I had him much lower in NCAA. I'm not sure if he is coming out so I just went with CBS. Pierce got a lot of NFL hype in the bowl game I saw the other day.

Unfortunately a lot of the players you mentioned I did try to get in the class, but due to the random nature of the beast they did not make it. Ganaway, Hilton, Crier, Branch, Thomas, and Messina should and could have all shown up if you check out the NCAA roster. I don't think Barrett Jones is coming out, and although I'd like to see Montgomery stay if we beat Bama again I guess he has no reason to stay. Montgomery has already said that would be the biggest challenge of his life, beating them twice, so what is there to come back another year for right?

Re: 12/23 My Attempt at a Roster and Madden Draft Class for PS3

Great job with this again. I just checked it out. Please please add more draft classes. I can't start a franchise with just one draft class. Need at least 5 to make sure all real guys will be in them.

No real issues with this class, just a few names.
QB- EJ Manuel- really doubtful he leaves
WR- Mohamed Sanu- is returning to school
CB- Ron Brooks? Where is he? He came on strong and I think he could be in the class. Might be biased that I'm an LSU fan but I think you are too. haha
SS- Ray Ray Armstrong- I thought he was returning to school.
SS- Karnell Hatcher? Again, I'm an LSU fan but I don't see him as being a top SS. Just surprised seeing him there.

Overall, awesome awesome job. I'd really appreciate and love to see more draft classes. This is the best I've seen. Please load more.
