Questions from a new guy...

Can anyone please help me out and answer these questions that I have about the 2K series? I haven't played a NBA game since 2K10 and a lot has changed.

1.) Why does the CPU get so many fastbreaks and blocks?

2.) Why does my 2Kshare show zero files to download on PSN?

3.) Why is so hard to actually make a layup? haha

3. Remove the thought of a contested layup is an easy shot. I am sure the layups you are missing are not open. If the layup is challenged, you have no right to be upset that it doesn't go in. Try to get open layups but remember that this is basketball and open layups shouldn't be something you expect to see often (outside of fastbreaks). So you must first learn what is a good shot. Wide Open, Open, Slightly Contested, Heavily Contested.

1. To reduce the amount of fastbreaks your opponent gets, you need to reduce your crash boards slider. Crash boards tells your perimeter players to go for offensive rebounds. When you turn that slider down (closer to 0) it tells those perimeter players to get back on defense.

I'm guessing this is getting locked...

but

1) CPU has some obvious advantages in some areas
2)Haven't been on 2kshare recently. try searching. Did you switch from the 2k roster panel?
3)Its not hard to make a layup as long as its a good look.Try running plays to see if this helps.

Re: Questions from a new guy...

The layups that I've been missing are on fastbreaks and I've even missed multiple dunks.

I wanted to start an association, but it says there are no files to download at the moment when I try to download a draft class. Also when I click on 2KShare from main menu, nothing pulls up like there are no files to download.

I am just trying to learn how to play this new game, it is much harder than 2K10, and it takes a while to get used to. I usually win on Pro, but All-Star blows me out of the water.

Is this game better with a downloaded roster other than the default roster?

Re: Questions from a new guy...

Missing dunks happens in real life so that isn't really an issue.

Fastbreak layups you say? But are they 100% WIDE OPEN? If no, then you don't have a valid reason to be upset. I have never seen a wide open missed layup in all of my years playing 2k.

I would wait before starting an Association since the rosters aren't really set yet. Be patient and get some practice games in Exhibition mode.

Is this game better on default rosterS? Of course not. Last year HyperBaller had a great roster set. I think he is going to do it again this year. Also the Dynasty Project looks promising. Check out the roster section.

But No, Default 2K Rosters are never the way to go. Never.

He's on ps3 not 360 though.

Make sure you have the patch.
Yes this game is better with downloaded roster. I would wait until this roster is finished though.http://www.operationsports.com/forum...w-rookies.html He's working on an update now.

Don't stay on pro. You will get better on allstar after more games, You will learn how to play the cpu better. Maybe 2k share is down, just use the 2k roster for now with the rookies. play the game with default sliders for now to get a feel for the game. You will get better, hope this helps.
