Stadium tours in The Show 12??

One of my absolute favorite features of LaRussa baseball on the PC back in the early 90s was the ability to take tours of the stadiums that we could do ourselves. Will we ever get that chance to do that in this game? I know there's short video tours before each game but it seems like with the amazing detail and work they put in to these stadium they couldn't wait to allow us to use our controllers to wander through the stadiums. It could work just like the replay camera.

100% agree. This was one of my favorite features back then in both games.

dunno about the La russa game but the ASB one was pretty boaring and lame. Whats the point if you cant really tour, tour the stadiums, like virtually walk through the entrance and aisles and what not? waste of developers time,

but thats just me

I think the big reason is because most of us who are hardcore baseball guys don't get to see every stadium in the MLB during our lifetime. Seeing it in a video game would be a way for us to "virtually" tour it. I personally would love this feature because there is absolutely no way I will ever have the opportunity to go to each stadium in person. For some people they don't enjoy this, but I'd be willing to bet that there are a ton of people out there that would really enjoy this feature.

It's also a great way to be able to see the level of detail to which each stadium has been re-created. I know one thing I love to do every year when the new games come out is check out every stadium in the game. Right now, the only way to do this is fire up a game in each stadium. This gets tiresome and is time consuming.

A "Tour" mode would be great and I'm not asking for anything more than essentially a mode that takes you into a stadium in replay mode. Preferably, the stadium would be empty like it is in batting practice mode. I wouldn't think much development time would be needed to achieve something like this.

In addition, it'd be nice just to give the floating replay camera more flexibility. I hate how it's restricted to the field. It'd be awesome to position it in the seats and be able to watch a replay from the vantage point of a fan, from your season ticket location, etc (not to mention being able to check out landmarks in more detail, such as the Tony Gwynn statue in SD, the warehouse at Camden Yards, you get the idea). There can't be any technical limitation to this. In fact I know the camera gets locked down in the retail version but I know the devs don't have the restrictions we see. I've always wondered why that is. I think having a free-roaming camera would really allow the users to see the beauty and detail in the stadiums.
